Background Brief

A Chosen Few, established in 2002, brings the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world through step and spoken word. Through upholding a standard of excellence, A Chosen Few desires to become established as a professional team within the step culture inside and outside of the Christian arena. A Chosen Few is founded on the principle in Matthew 22:1-14 in the Bible which states that “Many are called but few are chosen”, believing that many have talents, but excellence and determination are necessary to impact the step culture.

A Chosen Few has had various gigs in the northeast including Soulfest 2004, the City of Boston’s Father’s Day appreciation event, and working with the rap group, the Cross Movement on multiple occasions. In 2003, ACF had the honor of going on tour with the Cross Movement where they opened up for the group and choreographed a step to one of their tracks. They have placed first in two Citywide Talent shows and had the opportunity to hold a citywide step show. They have also stepped at colleges, youth rallies, weddings, DYS facilities, schools, churches, and a number of other community events. The team has held workshops and select members are currently working on starting a business that will train people in the excellence of step.
