Manny Arango is 18 years old and has been stepping for the past six years. He started stepping with the males of Alpha and Omega Step Squad, the step team of New Covenant Christian Church’s Youth Ministry. In the spring of 2000, the separate male and female teams joined together as a collective whole.

In the spring of 2001, he stepped for the first time with A Chosen Few Step Ministry (ACF), the step team of which he is a charter member. He has ministered via the art form of step with ACF for audiences of thousands at various youth events including Soulfest 2004. Also with ACF, he ministered alongside The Cross Movement, a nationally respected Christian rap group, in the summer of 2003.

Manny has stepped at dozens of youth rallies and conferences at churches all over the state of Massachusetts. As a team they have also done inner-city outreach in juvenile detention centers around the greater Boston area, and although this doesn’t seem as glamorous as other events it has proven to be the most powerful and impacting ministry opportunities. He is currently working on spreading the recognition of step.

ACF is in the process of becoming a non-profit organization existing to cause step to be recognized as a mainstream art form.
