Amysha Cole is nineteen years old from Boston, Ma. She is currently a second year psychology major at Howard University in Washington D.C. It was at her fifth grade talent show when she performed step with three of her friends when she realized that she really enjoyed it. Amysha’s first experience with an official step team was in 2000 with that of Alpha and Omega at New Covenant Christian Church, now Jubilee Christian Church. This team was rebirthed as A Chosen Few step team, which Amysha became a member of in 2002. A Chosen Few has had the honor of stepping at numerous community and church events including Soulfest 2004 and with the well renowned rap group, The Cross Movement. She is now working with other members of A Chosen Few to start a business that will specialize in training steppers in excellence.

When she entered high school as a freshman, she joined the Belmont High School Step Squad and went from being a co-captain of the team as a sophomore to a captain for both junior and senior year. She was proud to be a member of such a team, as they participated in Team Harmony 2000 and are the 2002, 2003, 2004 champions of the Greater Boston Step Association’s annual competition. After graduating from high school, Amysha went on to Howard University and stepped for the annual Resfest event of 2005 in which her team, the Tubman Quadrangle, won the show.

Amysha has had the honor of stepping at numerous events including parties, wedding receptions, memorials, family reunions, retirement celebrations, youth rallies, and concerts. Amysha has also had the privilege of putting together and hosting a step show with both her school and church step teams. She has also worked with children in the art form as a step instructor for the S.T.A.N.D after school program at a local Boys and Girls Club. She remains a member of A Chosen Few and desires to expand her experiences with the art form of step as much as she can.
